Medical Insurance
College Insurance Affects Sports
In the past few years the status quo in regards to medical health insurance coverage is completely out of control. A moderately basic health insurance policy for all college students with an average of twenty or twenty-five team members paid a total of four thousand dollars only three years ago.
Today for the same medical health insurance coverage the insurance policy is rising to sixteen thousand dollars annually and this is basic insurance coverage purchased through the college and university you are attending. Yet very few catastrophic claims in writing are for submission.
This is just so outrageous when the actual care is diminishing, the insurance payouts are reducing, yet the insurance companies still have billions and billions of dollars in the coffers.
Regardless of which plan individuals attending college, and those who are avid participants of a sports activity choose, the low cost health insurance benefits to suit their needs, are quietly reducing.
The list of pre-conditions continuously changes, and the annual policy renewal cost is rising tremendously. The only up side to this devastation if you want to call it an up side is the possibility of all resident students throughout the country having the ability to deduct the medical health insurance policy premium.
Unfortunately today, there are many college teams and sponsors closing their doors for the last time all because they are unable to sustain the high cost of health insurance premiums. Many individuals have opted out of having coverage under medical insurance for the same reasons.
It just seems so sad when affordable health insurance is no longer on the radar for the mass public. There are many very talented sports professionals even on the college and university level who have removed themselves because of the rising cost attached to pre-conditions.
These same sports enthusiasts then try to purchase a personal individual health insurance policy and find they are unable again because of the rising cost. When did the insurance companies remove themselves from the public realm?
When was the medical insurance policies changed from the public realm? What is it going to take to bring things back to the realities we all must face? When did the pre-condition become such a volatile topic?
Granted, to bring all this back within reach of all individuals and families it will take some time and planning. However, once this all reaches its peak everything will begin to fall into place and life will continue forward.
